All swim practices are held in the ONAT.
Join us on the stationary bikes at the rec or weather permitting biking on outdoor trails.
Most of our runs are held outside around campus or if the weather is bad on the indoor track at the rec or the field house.
Living in Northeast Ohio means very little training outdoors during the winter months. In the beginning of the spring semester we offer around three indoor triathlons for members to compete in. The most common ones we offer are at Cleveland State University, The Ohio State University and The University of Dayton. These indoor triathlons are short distances, and some are based on time (for example: swim 10min, stationary bike 20min, run on the track 15 min). The one who goes the farthest in the given time wins.
We travel to USA Triathlon Collegiate Club Nationals yearly around third week in April. This event is an Olympic distance triathlon, meaning a 1500m open water swim, 40k bike and 10k run. The location changes every two years. The first two years we qualified (2015-2016) we travelled to Clemson, South Carolina to compete nationally. This year (2017), USAT Nationals will be held in Alabama. In order to qualify for Nationals one must compete in at least one USAT sanctioned triathlon before April. This may be an indoor or outdoor triathlon and we highly encourage you to try an outdoor triathlon before competing nationally.
